Congregational Care is an extension of the Board of Stewardship that serves to support the mission and duties of the Board which includes the enlistment of talent among members.

One of the main goals of the committee is to provide opportunities for individuals to serve the church and community without making a long-term commitment to a “Board”.  Many of the needs of the church have a “beginning and end."  Congregational Care is designed to meet those needs by calling on volunteers who are ready and willing to serve on a short-term basis.

The Committee can be described as the “go-to” group for other Boards and Auxiliary Groups to tap into for help with activities, service projects and the general care of the congregation.  The objective is to provide a resource to facilitate more outreach and fellowship within our church, school and community.

The Committee is comprised of a cross-section of men and women, both on the Committee and in the field.

Ongoing needs of the church include:

•   Communication with members and school
•   Upkeep of the food pantry
•   Visitations with shut-ins
•   Welcoming and communicating with visitors
•   Support for families in hardship
•   Organizing Bible studies and social events
•   Driving, cooking, childcare, school support, phone calls...
